Community Link
In February Highworth Link said “Thanks” to our loyal team of unpaid volunteers who deliver the magazine to your door, in a reception at the Town Council’s Community Room. About half our volunteers were able to attend, as pictured below.
Highworth Link distribution team.

It is a big logistical effort for us all every month and, despite having many long-serving
distributors, we have a constant churn of volunteers coming and going, and we always
need more.
Highworth Link would like to thank the following community spirited people who have
helped, and are helping us, bring the magazine to your doorstep!

● Mrs Bennet of The Cullerns for delivering the Highworth Link in her area over the
last 10 years. Ill health prevents further involvement with delivery. We thank her for all her efforts in the past and hope she enjoys better health soon and, in particular, a well deserved rest.
● Bill and Sandra Evans of The Cullerns for taking on Mrs Bennet's round. Your help
means so much to us and to the people who live locally to you.
● Harry Mills for acting as an intermediate distributor to 15 various locations in his
locale. He has been bringing your Highworth Link to you for many years but feels it’s time to “hang his boots up” in favour of other busy projects – we wish you well, Harry!
● Keith and Cindy Smith, and Berit Aherne for taking half each of Harry’s round. Your
help means that the Highworth Link can continue to be delivered to 15 distributors
who, in turn, will deliver to over 500 houses in Highworth!
● Mr Hodsall and his late wife of Windrush area for delivering the Highworth Link in
his locale over a few years. Your help has been invaluable.
● Mrs Celia Gould and her daughter Emma for taking on two rounds in Windrush
area. We really do appreciate your support.

If you enjoy receiving and reading Highworth Link then do please consider how you could help us to bring it to all members of our community.
Currently we have over 100 willing people in our community, of all ages, who dispatch and deliver your magazine to your door in our community of Highworth. Prior to delivery, 4000 copies have to be sorted and bundled, ready for dispatch within
Highworth, and for this we are extremely grateful to the lads and their supervisors at
Gloucester House. And we distribute another 3,000 in the surrounding villages.

We are always in need of others who are willing to give of their time, for their community, to deliver our town’s magazine either on a permanent or temporary basis.
So, if you feel you would like to help us, please do call me on
